Project Description

Silphakorn University, Wang Tha Phra Campus located on Rattanakosin, Bangkok is an ancient in Thailand. The existing drainage system in the area is deteriorated due to a long operation. Drainage pipe size is rather small including waste, soil and is also blocked by leafs. The potential of drainage pipe has been reduced. Furthermore, some area in Silphakorn University is low and flood caused heavy rain and is deteriorated, specific in the conservation area where is consisted of an Art and the National Culture.

Silphakorn University has urgently considered to design of upgrading the drainage system in the university for protecting the deteriorated areas of education and conservation where have been restored. Silphakorn University has assigned Progress Technology Consultants Co., Ltd. (PTC) as a consultant to carry out the survey, detailed design for upgrading the drainage system in the university at Wang Tha Phra Campus, in order to solve the flooding problem in the university.

PTC has collected data and studied the existing drainage system in the university at Wang Tha Phra Campus for understanding the flood problem and has designed of upgrading the drainage system in the university for solving the problem. Besides, PTC has also provided the detailed design of the construction of the drainage system in accordance with the BMA water drainage system which consisted of a plot of pipe line and size of drainage pipe, location of storage pond and pumping station, plan profile shown water flow and the slope of drainage pipe, detailed design of manholes and pumping station, other detailed designs needed, bid document, the calculation of engineering and cost estimation of the construction.
